I’ve been away all summer, that’s why me no bloggy lately. But I’ve returned with an awesome apron from Katie, which she actually looks much hotter in. I had the best time in Oregon at Vegan: The Gathering. So much fun, actually, that it has immobilized me. Every time I want to write about it I get completely overwhelmed. Oh, who am I kidding? I’m always immobilized and overwhelmed.
It’s also been in the 70s here in Brooklyn, which is perfect baking weather and, of course, rare for August. But instead of posting pictures of what I’ve been baking I will just post a picture of me in my new apron, and the 20 pounds I’ve gained from baking. That oughta do it.
You look like the hotness! That apron is LOVE!

That apron is hot. And, the first thing I did when the temperatures dipped was bake like a madwoman. Crazy bakers unite!

70? Are you kidding? It’s been in the 100’s here and it hasn’t rained in a month. I baked anyway, because i’m a masochist.

Perfect apron. And you look adorable, as always.
I don’t know about the weather in Brooklyn, but it was close to 100 in Philly today with the heat index. Ugh.

I’m glad you’re back. And so are the cupcakes. I dedicated my last blog to you and to them.

That apron rocks and you look totally cute in it. It’s been rather cool up here in Vancouver for the past couple of weeks as well which is super exciting. I’ve been baking up a storm.

I love your cupcakes cookbook! Use it all the time when I’m heading off to parties and get great feedback (And that’s saying alot considering I live Down Under and this country is full of Meat-Heads). Love your blog by the way! My Vegan Blog

The apron was made by one Katie from Chicago, but she isn’t selling them or anything.

OMG- that is so cool, and so weird. I totally knew a Katie from Chicago that could double as her twin. 🙂
Seriously though, the apron, and anyone wearing it, completely rocks.

Just wanted to say I love the apron. It inspired me so so much. I decided to go in to illustrator today (my first time ever!), and design my own cool apron. I never really thought of an apron as a fashion statement, but I guess it can be! I thought of making mine read “Yummy Vegetarian” with a sweet little cupcake on it. Thanks so much for all of the inspiration! Check it out…www.cafepress.com/melissavest

20 pounds from baking? That’s funny because that’s about how much I gained after buying your book! That thing should come with a surgeon generals warning! lol
