When vegan cupcakes take over the world Deirdre Jean will most certainly be our leader. She made the costume herself and everything.

  1. Isa & Terry,

I certainly won’t be the leader, I think that would go to y’all! But if there is an opening on the pep-squad I’d happily apply! Thanks for posting my pix! You’re the sweetest.

Vegan Cupcakes &c. arrived at my bookstore yesterday! I’d ordered it but didn’t think it would be out til Nov 30… Put it on layby tho because I’m still paying off La Dolce Vegan.
Now I’m tempted to go layby lots of fabric because I think i need a costume like that :)

  6. Wow, that costume is amazing. I was a cupcake for halloween as well, but my costume was not nearly that accurate. Heh.

  8. How did you make the icing part? Did you cut it out like a spiral or a long straight piece that you just tacked down in a spiral?

  9. Hey Cupcake!
I made the frosting by making a big long tube shaped pillow out of the frosting material- kindof like a python snake. I made three of those, about 4-5 feet long, then I coiled them around the top of the costume like I was decorating the edible kind and glued them down with hot-glue.

  12. What kind of fabric did you use to make your cupcake? It’s awesome, by the way.
